Abstract

Loss of items is a common issue frequently reported by the residents of Pandaan District thru social media. However, this method is unstructured, difficult to verify, and risks violating privacy. This research aims to design and implement a web-based Lost and Found Information System using the Laravel framework and the Waterfall method. To maintain data privacy without conventional registration, this system implements a link-token mechanism thru the reporter's email. Testing was conducted using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results of the Black Box Testing showed that all functionalities and privacy security features were working as designed. Meanwhile, the UAT results from 15 respondents achieved a feasibility percentage of 93.33% (very feasible category). This system has proven to be responsive, safe, and effective as a centralized solution for reporting and searching for lost items for the community.
