Modern lifestyles characterized by irregular eating habits, frequent fast-food consumption, and limited physical activity have increased the risk of obesity, which is associated with diseases such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and stroke. Regular monitoring of calorie intake is essential to maintain health and reduce these risks. However, conventional monitoring methods have limitations because measurement data are not automatically recorded and are difficult to monitor continuously. This study aims to design and develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based digital scale using ESP32 and the Blynk platform. The system employs a load cell sensor to measure food weight, estimate calorie content based on the measured weight, and transmit data in real time to a smartphone application through a Wi-Fi connection. The proposed system is expected to provide a practical, accurate, and efficient solution for monitoring food weight and calorie intake while supporting healthier lifestyles through IoT technology.
