Abstract

Gardening is an activity that provides both educational and ecological benefits. However, limited land availability due to urbanization has encouraged the adoption of more efficient cultivation methods, one of which is hydroponics. Despite its numerous advantages, hydroponic farming is still not widely understood by the public because it requires knowledge of nutrient management and environmental conditions that support plant growth. Furthermore, existing learning media are generally conventional and lack interactive learning experiences. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a 3D educational gardening simulation game based on hydroponic techniques as an interactive learning medium for the general public. The game was developed using the Game Development Life Cycle method, which consists of the initiation, pre-production, production, and testing phases. The game was built using the Unity Engine with a First Person Perspective  approach.
