Hyperlipidemia is a lipid metabolism disorder characterized by elevated levels of cholesterol, triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein (LDL), which can induce oxidative stress and impair kidney function, leading to increased creatinine and uric acid levels. Moringa oleifera leaves contain flavonoids, phenolic compounds, and antioxidants with potential nephroprotective effects. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Moringa oleifera leaf extract on creatinine and uric acid levels in male Wistar rats with hyperlipidemia. A pretest-posttest control group design was used with five groups: a negative control, a positive control (simvastatin, 0.18 mg/200 g body weight), and three treatment groups receiving Moringa oleifera leaf extract at doses of 100, 150, and 200 mg/200 g body weight. Two-Way ANOVA revealed significant reductions in creatinine and uric acid levels over time (p<0.001), whereas no significant differences were observed among treatment groups for creatinine (p=0.113) or uric acid (p=0.096; p>0.05).
