Digital Intelligent Management System Platform for Adaptive Student Development and Mental Health Support Using an Expert Counselor System

Islamic boarding schools face significant limitations in managing counseling services, particularly in recording student behavior manually with minimal early detection of mental health conditions. This study designs and implements a digital platform based on a Rule-Based Expert System integrating Natural Language Processing and Forward Chaining to support adaptive student guidance. The system was developed using Laravel 12, React.js, and Python 3 with Sastrawi, incorporating a knowledge base of 16 violation variables, 3 appreciation variables, 19 counselor variables, 10 consequence variables, 5 reward variables, and 43 rules. Testing on 8 real reports achieved 100% preprocessing accuracy, while Black Box Testing across 26 scenarios on three user roles reached 100% success rate. The system automatically triggers consequence and reward reports and executes Forward Chaining to produce mental health diagnoses with relevant recommendations, contributing to the digital transformation of pesantren counseling services.
