The Influence of Work Stress, Person Job Fit, and Work Environment on Employee Job Satisfaction at PT XYZ (Case Study one of The PT in Sidoarjo)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Job Stress, Person Job Fit, and Work Environment on Job Satisfaction of PT XYZ employees. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method and total sampling technique on the entire population of 90 employees. Data were collected through the distribution of Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with the help of SmartPLS 3.0. The results showed that Person Job Fit and Work Environment had a positive and significant effect on Job Satisfaction, while Job Stress had no significant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables were able to explain most of the variation in Job Satisfaction, with the Work Environment as the most dominant variable. This finding confirms that job fit and a conducive work environment are the main factors in increasing employee satisfaction, while moderate work stress can still be managed well.
