Abstract

This study designs and builds a 3-phase IoT-based Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) panel prototype as a household backup power system. Demand rises due to frequent PLN outages disrupting operations and damaging electronics. The ESP32 microcontroller controls the ATS, with PZEM-004T sensors monitoring voltage and current per phase. Relays and contactors enable automatic switching between PLN (primary) and generator (backup). Blynk IoT app provides remote monitoring. Using an applied research approach—design, assembly, testing, and performance analysis—the prototype ensures quick, safe, stable source switching. Results enhance residential electrical reliability and offer efficient, sustainable IoT monitoring for future needs.
