The ceramic packaging process in the manufacturing industry requires a precise and efficient system to improve production quality and reduce human error. This research aims to modify a ceramic packing machine through the implementation of an automatic system based on sensors and programmable logic controllers to improve the accuracy detection number of product before packaging and work process efficiency. The scope of the research includes the mechanical design of sensor supports, photoelectric sensor integration, conveyor systems, and control using PLC. The methods used include the stages of needs analysis, system design, hardware assembly, control programming, and testing the performance of the equipment under operational conditions. The results showed that the modified system was able to detect the position and height of ceramic tiles more stably than. the previous system, resulting in increased process efficiency and reduced product detection errors.
