Modern agriculture currently optimizes the use of resources, especially water, which is a major factor in supporting plant growth.Climate change and limited productive land have driven the need for technological innovations that can improve cultivation efficiency. This study aims to design and implement an automatic irrigation system using a combination of sprinkler and drip irrigation methods in Brazilian spinach cultivation.The system was developed based on an Arduino Atmega2560 microcontroller using a soil moisture sensor as the main parameter in irrigation control. The sprinkler irrigation method is used to maintain even soil moisture throughout the planting area, while drip irrigation is focused on the root area to maintain soil microclimate stability and improve water use efficiency. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method through the stages of problem identification, design, manufacturing, testing, and system analysis.
