Analysis of Nationalism Values Through Scout Extracurricular Activities in Elementary School Students

Nationalistic character education for elementary school students is a critical need amid the challenges of globalization and declining awareness of national values. One approach that can be taken is through scouting extracurricular activities that emphasize experiential learning. This study aims to analyze the value of nationalism through scouting activities among fifth-grade elementary school students and to identify differences in the internalization of nationalistic values between students with high and low levels of nationalism. This study employed a qualitative method with a single-case study design involving two fifth-grade students at SDN Trompoasri 1. The results indicate that scouting activities foster the values of discipline, responsibility, cooperation, leadership, and tolerance, thereby shaping students’ nationalistic character.
