Motorcycles are the primary mode of transportation for Indonesians, including for long-distance travel, which is generally done at a constant speed. However, continuously controlling the throttle can cause fatigue in the right hand and reduce the rider's comfort and concentration. This study aims to design, implement, and test a fixed speed controller system on a conventional motorcycle with a target speed of 60 km/h. Tests were conducted straight roads to measure speed stability, driving comfort, and fuel efficiency. The results show that the system is able to maintain a vehicle speed of around 60 km/h with relatively small deviations. Additionally, the use of this system has been proven to reduce the workload on the right hand, reduce rider fatigue, and save more fuel. Thus, this fixed speed controller system has the potential to be an applicable, economical, and easy-to-implement alternative solution to improve riding comfort and efficiency on conventional motorcycles.
