Private Tutoring as a Solution to Learning Motivation Problems: An Analysis of Supporting and Inhibiting Factors in Learning Motivation in 9-10 Year Old Children

This study discusses how private tutoring can help improve the learning motivation of children aged 9–10 years, as well as the factors that support or hinder that motivation. The research was conducted using a qualitative method through observation, interviews, and documentation at a private tutoring center in Kwadengan Village. The results show that children’s learning motivation increases because the tutor uses enjoyable teaching approaches, technology-based learning media, and maintains good communication with parents. However, children’s motivation is also affected by several obstacles such as fatigue, lack of focus, and an unconducive learning environment. Overall, private tutoring plays an important role in providing better learning support and helping children become more enthusiastic about learning.
