Abstract

Qur’anic memorization (tahfidz) learning in Islamic elementary schools has evolved alongside the integration of digital media. Various practices—such as submitting recorded recitations via WhatsApp, using applications like Tarteel for murojaah, and employing game-based digital platforms—have been incorporated into classroom instruction. Digital tahfidz learning thus extends beyond the use of technology, encompassing systematic management processes including program planning, resource organization, implementation, supervision, and evaluation, all of which influence the quality of students’ memorization. This study aims to examine the management of digital tahfidz learning, its implementation dynamics, supporting and inhibiting factors, and its implications for memorization quality. A qualitative case study design was conducted at an Islamic elementary school in Sidoarjo during the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through interviews, direct observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model with methodological and source triangulation.
