Abstract

The Student Need Care (SNC) program is an effort by madrasahs to improve students' reading skills, especially in rural areas that still have limited learning facilities, family support, and early literacy stimulation. This study aims to 1. Analyze the implementation of SNC at MI Fajrul Islam 02 Pulo, 2. Identify the challenges of implementing SNC at MI Fajrul Islam 02 Pulo, 3. Evaluate the effectiveness of the SNC program. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study to understand the program implementation process. Data were obtained through interviews with relevant parties, observations of learning activities, and review of supporting documents involving teachers, parents, the principal, and the curriculum team. The results showed that the SNC program helped improve students' reading skills through initial skill mapping, student grouping, and additional reading hours outside class. The obstacles that arose included student fatigue, limited concentration during reading activities, and minimal parental involvement
