This study examines how varying the composition of chitosan, distilled water, nitric acid (HNO₃), and sodium bisulfite (NaHSO₃) affects the physical and mechanical properties of chitosan-based bioadhesive glue. Four formulations were tested (wt%): 80:10:5:5, 70:20:5:5, 60:30:5:5, and 60:20:10:10. Bioadhesives were produced via controlled heating and stirring, then evaluated for temperature–humidity resistance and tensile performance following ASTM D3039. Load–displacement data were converted to stress–strain curves to obtain yield strength and ultimate tensile strength (UTS). The 80:10:5:5 formulation showed the best overall performance, achieving 10.50 MPa yield strength and 13.00 MPa UTS with good environmental stability. Higher water content reduced strength due to plasticization, while increased HNO₃ and NaHSO₃ improved flexibility but lowered peak strength. Thus, 80:10:5:5 is recommended as a base non-structural, eco-friendly bioadhesive.
